The Syrian Minister of Information, Hamza Al -Mustafa, stressed that the ceasefire agreement in the As -Suwayda Governorate represents a real opportunity to return to political solutions and establish stability under the umbrella of the state, noting that the implementation of the agreement will take place in three consecutive stages.
Al -Mustafa said, in official statements, that the first stage began actually through the deployment of internal security forces in the western regions of As -Suwayda with the aim of breaking up clashes and containing tension between armed groups and clans.
He added that the Syrian government formed a special emergency committee to introduce urgent medical and humanitarian assistance, and work to reform the affected infrastructure, in preparation for the return of state institutions and activating its role in the entire province.
Securing protection for all Syrians without exception
The Minister of Information stressed that the state is responsible for securing protection for all Syrians without exception, considering that the absence of the role of the state in the past years contributed directly to the escalation of tensions, especially among the components of the local community such as Druze and Bedouins.
Al -Mustafa pointed out that some armed groups in As -Suwayda previously refused to engage in the paths of a political solution, but the new agreement is an opportunity to rebuild confidence and engage in serious national dialogue.
He concluded by saying: The state is determined to end the state of chaos and enhance security and stability in the province, in a manner that guarantees the safety of civilians and the return of normal life.
