Urban Planning Authority discusses with Ismailia Governorate to update the strategic plan for the city

Within the framework of the state’s efforts to achieve Sustainable urban developmentThe General Authority for Urban Planning participated in a consultative session headed by Eng. Ahmed Essam El -Din, Deputy Governor of Ismailia, to discuss updating the general strategic plan for the city of Ismailia.

The authority’s work team, headed by Eng. Dina Khalil, Acting Chairman of the Regional Center for Planning and Development of the Suez Canal region, and Dr. Ibtihal Abdel Moaty, head of the project’s advisory work team, reviewed the details of the plan, including the main stages of its preparation and studies of the current situation of the services sector, local economy and infrastructure networks, as well as discussing the proposed development vision of the city until 2035.

During the session, the deputy governor stressed the importance of developing a realistic and integrated development vision that takes into account the spatial privacy of the city and responds to the needs of various sectors, in a way that contributes to improving the quality of life and achieves the aspirations of citizens.

The meeting witnessed the attendance of the project team at the Regional Center for Planning and Development of the Suez Canal region, the consulting team, representatives of the executive bodies and departments concerned in the governorate, where opinions and observations were exchanged to ensure the compatibility of the proposed vision with local priorities and the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.
