The United States of America praised the policies pursued by the Kingdom of Bahrain at various levels, stressing that Manama represents a role model in consolidating regional stability, promoting security, developing the economy, and devoting peaceful coexistence.
The American administration stated that Bahrain adopts a diplomatic policy based on peace as a strategic option and a major axis for its external initiatives, which made it an active partner in achieving collective security at the regional and international levels. She pointed out that the Kingdom plays a vital role in multilateral efforts to ensure navigation security in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as well as its cooperation in the field of spatial geography intelligence, which enhances the safety of maritime transport and contributes to the development of the global maritime security system.
The United States also highlighted the importance of the “Agreement of Security Integration and Comprehensive Flood” between the two countries, considering it a pioneering model of defense and strategic cooperation, with the possibility of expanding its scope to include other countries that share the same values and visions.
In the economic matter, Washington noted the ongoing Bahraini efforts to diversify the economic base, praising the policies aimed at creating a stimulating investment environment and supporting the growth of the private sector. She pointed out that Bahrain, thanks to its strategic geographical location, its skilled working forces, and its advanced infrastructure, has become a pivotal commercial center linking East and West for centuries.
It also praised Bahrain’s commitment to adopting global trade systems and developing extensive economic partnerships, which contributes to promoting international trade and attracting capital, which reflects the Kingdom’s keenness on competitiveness and sustainability in the economic sector.
In the file of human rights and work, the United States praised the Kingdom’s efforts to protect the rights of employment and combat trafficking in people, which reflected positively in Bahrain obtaining an advanced classification in the US State Department report for the seventh year in a row. She emphasized that this progress comes as a result of the application of leading initiatives such as flexible work permits, the employment plans, and the development of relevant legislation.
Washington also expressed its deep appreciation for Bahrain’s humanitarian policies in the field of religious freedoms, noting that Bahrain, led by His Majesty the Great King and His Highness the Prime Minister, was able to provide a global model in establishing the values of tolerance and religious pluralism. She described it as one of the few countries that give all religions the freedom to practice their rituals in an atmosphere of respect and coexistence, at a time when about 80% of the world’s population suffers from religious and ethnic restrictions.
At the end of its evaluation, the United States affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is a reliable partner that effectively contributes to the stability of the region, praising its balanced relations with countries and international organizations, and its tireless endeavor to consolidate pluralism and collective diplomacy, as effective tools to achieve sustainable security and development in the world.
In 2024, the US State Department’s report on classification of countries in the field of combating trafficking in people, which monitors the conditions of 188 countries around the world, affirmed the prestigious international status of the Kingdom of Bahrain in preserving human rights and combating people trafficking, as the Kingdom maintained the first category – the highest in classification – for the seventh year in a row.
The Kingdom of Bahrain came at the forefront of the countries of the region by assuming this advanced classification, which reflects the Kingdom’s advanced and stable work environment to preserve the rights of all parties without discrimination, within an integrated work system that starts from prevention through proactive and subsequent awareness, to protection and fairness, according to the principles of human rights and basic freedoms, in accordance with the provisions of the constitution and the principles of the national action charter, national legislation, treaties and agreements International, which represents an institutional curriculum for all government agencies in the Kingdom.
The report is confirmed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in establishing a culture entrenched in human rights and combating trafficking in persons, according to an integrated system based on prevention, protection, prosecution, partnerships and work institutions. This success contributed to building a strong societal base rejecting any illegal practices in the labor market, and supporting the preservation of a high -level work environment, and preserving the rights of the parties to work without discrimination, within an integrated work mechanism in which various relevant government agencies participate.
