PARIS – WAM, Simona Merla Mikolsku, President of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), appreciated the pioneering role played by the United Arab Emirates in protecting and preserving cultural and natural heritage at the national and global levels, stressing that the UAE is a major partner of the organization and a role model in this field. This praise came in a special interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) in Paris, where Mikolsku was appreciated by the recent Emirati success represented in the inclusion of the archaeological site “Al -Fayy” in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and described this achievement as a strong message that reflects the deep commitment of the Emirates to protect human memory
