In cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf, the Fund for the Control and Treatment of Addiction and Abskin, in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf, launched workshops for the imams of mosques to introduce the damage of narcotic drug use and the most prominent types of drugs and their effects on social dimensions as well as artificial drug damage.
Dr. Amr Othman, Director of the Fund for the Control and Treatment of Addiction, witnessed a workshop for the imams of mosques in Cairo Governorate, within the framework of the fund’s keenness to raise awareness of the danger of drug use, and the fund also organized many workshops over the past days in the governorates of Giza and East to the imams of the mosques on the role of the Addiction Control Fund in the face of the phenomenon of abuse and the provision of treatment services for patients for free and in complete secrecy through the hotline of the fund 16023.
The director of the Anti -Addiction Fund gave a lecture during which he reviewed how religious institutions are active in correcting the false culture about the use of narcotic substances with a focus on introducing free services to treat addiction, as part of the axes of the work of the national strategy to combat drugs and reduce the risk of abuse and addiction that were launched under the auspices of the President of the Republic and are being implemented in coordination with the ministries and authorities concerned, from a global perspective, Initial prevention and transformation from awareness of the prevention of educational and youth institutions and the implementation of programs directed to the family “prevention and early discovery” with a focus on areas most vulnerable to the problem of drugs and creating an educational and sports environment that enhances the ability of young people and youth to reject the culture of drug use.
Othman affirmed that the workshops will continue to organize the workshops for the imams of mosques in cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and the Conservatives, as previously coordinated with the Ministry of Awqaf regarding the unification of Friday sermon in all mosques at the level of the Republic from time to time to deal For dealing and its importance before reaching addiction and emphasizing the importance of family dialogue to prevent addiction.
