Today, Saturday, the doors’ roads campaign to enhance positive health services and family planning in South Sinai will be launched, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, and Major General Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai.
Dr. Haitham Al -Shanhab, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in South Sinai, announced the launch of the activities of the doors’ road campaign implemented by the Family Development Department in the Directorate, with the aim of reducing population growth rates and raising awareness of family planning and reproductive health, within the framework of the state’s efforts to achieve the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 to improve the quality of the citizen’s life.
Doors’ routes campaign to enhance reproductive health services
For her part, Dr. Heba Hamdi, Director of the Family Development Department in the Directorate, told Cairo 24, that today, Saturday, the doors road campaign is launched to enhance reproductive health services, which are implemented in the cities of Ras Sidr and Sharm El -Sheikh during the period from today to Monday, July 14.
She emphasized that one of the goals of the campaign is direct access to women of childbearing age from 18 to 49 years inside their homes, to increase the rates of using modern family planning means, reduce the rates of unparalleled needs in family planning services, enhance health concepts associated with the small family and prevention, and provide reliable medical consultations and psychological and moral support for women.
She explained that the campaign is involved with specialized and trained medical and nursing teams that visit homes in the targeted areas, especially in which the birth rates rise and the indicators of the use of family planning means.
The Directorate of Health calls on all citizens to cooperate with the field campaign teams, and to provide the necessary support for the success of its goals, in a way that reflects positively on the health of families and the stability of society.
The Ministry of Health and Population pays great attention to intensifying awareness and service programs, through initiatives such as doors aimed at direct access to the targeted groups inside their homes, especially in rural and remote areas, and these campaigns contribute to correcting misconceptions, and providing free family planning means, as well as providing psychological and medical support, in a way that enhances the concept of small family and improves health and social indicators at the level of the Republic.
