The Board of Trustees of October City, in cooperation with the Veterinary Medicine Directorate in Giza, with the support of the city’s development agency, launched a comprehensive field campaign to vaccinate dogs against rabies, this morning, Saturday, July 12, 2025.
The campaign, which is being implemented in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 29 of 2023 and Ministerial Resolution No. 1731 of 2025, targets the vaccination and sterilization of frustrated dogs in residential neighborhoods, where during the second implementation days 50 dogs were vaccinated in the eighth district, the third and fourth adjacent, and the separating street between the eighth and ninth neighborhoods, using accredited vaccines with the support of the Board of Trustees.
Hunting and sterilizing bulk dogs
This comes within an integrated plan that later includes hunting and sterilizing bulk dogs to reduce their reproduction, which contributes to the prevention of rabies and common diseases between humans and animals.
Campaign officials affirmed the continuation of work in the rest of the neighborhoods in succession in coordination with the people and the competent associations, stressing the importance of citizens’ cooperation to ensure the success of the campaign and achieve a safer and healthy environment for all the population.
