The Free Union of Bahrain Workers Syndicate, with pride and pride, revives the occasion of the Arab Youth Day, which falls on the fifth of July every year, and it is a very important occasion that highlights the pivotal and vital role played by young people in the renaissance and progress of the nation, and in building a more just and sustainable future. This day is not just a symbolic celebration, but rather a pause of contemplation and appreciation for the bids of Arab youth in various fields, and an opportunity to renew the commitment to support them and enable them to perform their roles with efficiency and dignity.
The free union affirms that young people constitute the renewed energy of the labor and trade union movement, and the solid basis on which the aspirations of development and change is based, it stresses the importance of joint work in order to enhance their position in the labor market and in public life. The youth of Bahrain, as well as the youth of the Arab nation, have proven their ability to face challenges, create solutions, and contribute to the elevation of their homelands despite all the economic and living difficulties they face, and structural obstacles, on top of which are unemployment, the variation of opportunities, and the reduction of the active participation space in economic and social policies.
In this context, the Federation calls for the need to review economic and operational policies in a manner that ensures that working young people are able to reach decent work, and to provide fair and safe work environments that preserve their rights and protect their dignity. It also confirms that vocational and technical education and training must be one of the priorities of the state and society, so that they keep pace with the requirements of the times, and in harmony with the digital transformation and technological developments that have become radically reshaping the labor market.
The free union stresses the importance of strengthening the role of youth within the trade union system, and opening the way for them to participate in the union and labor decision -making, they are not only the natural heirs of the labor movement, but are its renewed element that is able to develop it and renew its tools and speech. Supporting youth initiatives, embracing the emerging Bahraini energies, and providing opportunities for economic and social empowerment, must be at the heart of development policies, not a secondary option or a deferred luxury.
On this glorious occasion, we raise a greeting of appreciation and gratitude to every young woman and young man in our Arab world, and to the youth of Bahrain in particular, who continue to give honestly and affiliation, who hold the hopes of their societies, and contribute sincerely to building the present and foreseeing the future.
