The UAE welcomed the signing of the declaration of principles between the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the “Congo River” alliance- the “March 23” movement, which took place in the Qatari capital, Doha. Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, appreciated the efforts made by the sisterly State of Qatar in facilitating the dialogue, leading to this declaration, which constitutes a pivotal station towards achieving national reconciliation and promoting stability in the East Congo region. He affirmed the UAE’s support for all regional and international endeavors aimed at settling disputes by peaceful means, and consolidating the foundations of security and stability in the African continent and the world.
