Teddy Oko’s agent revealed the developments of the crisis with the Zamalek club regarding the player’s refusal to be in the ranks of the White Castle.
Teddy Oko’s comments
The agent of Teddy Oko said in televised statements: The tripartite agreement is not a contract of work, and in the tripartite agreement, both the player, the current club and the buyer club are from the signers, and this type of agreement requires several major steps in order for the transfer to be legal:
- The player must terminate his work contract with his current club.
- The player must sign a new work contract with his future club.
- The player must pass the medical examination successfully.
- The new club must end the FIFS transition procedures.
- The new club must register the player with his national federation.
He continued: So far the only step that has been completed is to pass the medical examination, but passing the medical examination is not a binding element in the contract.
He added: Teddy Oko announced clearly and explicitly, publicly, that he will never play for Zamalek.
He pointed out: We do not have the game played by Zamalek officials, where they are tampering with the money of the fans of the club, and they cannot simply accept that a player does not want to play for them.
He continued: Even if we assume in a fictional world that all of this can be considered legally, then Zamalek will then pay exorbitant transfer fees and astronomical salary.
He concluded his remarks by saying: I would also clarify that Teddy Oko did not sign any other club, contrary to what some recent rumors indicate, and he is still a player in the ranks of Lugern Club, and we will not give any additional comment on this issue.
