The Syrian government denied, shortly, stated in reports of its forces’ willingness to redeploy in the As -Suwayda Governorate.

A spokesman for the Syrian Ministry of Interior stated today, Friday, that government forces are not preparing to deploy in the province with a majority of Druze, according to the official news agency.
The denial came in response to a Reuters report attributed to a media official in the Ministry of Interior as saying that the security forces are preparing to return to the city of As -Suwayda to contain the clashes between the Bedouin and Druze tribes, who belong to a religious minority spread in Syria, Lebanon and Israel.
In southern Syria, a fragile calm prevailed today, Friday, after the validity of a truce announced on Wednesday, and that it temporarily ended confrontations that broke out a few days ago between Bedouin and Druze fighters in the Suwayda governorate, prompting the Syrian government to send military reinforcements to the region.
The clashes sparked a reaction from Israel, which announced their rejection of the deployment of Syrian forces in the south, and carried out strikes targeting Syrian forces in As -Suwayda, as well as the Syrian Ministry of Defense, and hit a site near the presidential palace in Damascus.
After announcing the armistice, the Syrian forces withdrew from As -Suwayda, but the clashes resumed on Thursday night between the Bedouin and Druze fighters.
The Israeli army launched new strikes in the Suwayda governorate during the night.
Israel accuses the new Syrian leadership, which it describes as extremist Islamic, of trying to threaten the Druze community, and confirms its commitment to protecting it, driven by calls from the Druze community inside Israel.
It appears that Israel’s anti -Syrian leadership position is inconsistent with the position of the United States, which has announced that it does not support the recent Israeli strikes on Syria.
Washington had intervened to help reach the previous truce between government forces and the Druze fighters, and the White House confirmed yesterday that the ceasefire was still steadfast.
For his part, Syrian President Ahmed Al -Sharaa accused Israel of trying to divide Syria, confirming his commitment to protecting the people of the Druze community, at a time when he seeks to improve relations with the United States.
