In the midst of the regional escalation resulting from the Israeli -Iranian war, the Kingdom of Bahrain faced a complex challenge that exceeded the traditional security dimensions, to touch the essence of the state’s ability to rationalize, the balance between the requirements of stability, the rights of the citizen, and the rule of law.

The response of the Kingdom of Bahrain was not an emergency or circumstantial moment.

On the security level, the concept of protection was not reduced to setting barriers or an emergency advertisement, but rather included building a coherent system for preparedness, which included raising the readiness of vital installations and intensifying control over threats associated with abroad, through coordination of an active with regional and international partners.

The National Emergency Chamber has also been activated to unify the decision, and link state institutions through a digital system capable of immediately studied response, with supervisory and legal controls that guarantee the efficiency of implementation without exceeding rights.

As for the societal dimension, the state has dealt with the sensitive context with a high sense of responsibility, where the public, religious and media discourse was monitored, and urged it to enhance national cohesion, in parallel with respect for freedom of opinion and providing safe platforms for the responsible expression.

These efforts were strengthened by comprehensive awareness campaigns aimed at blocking the road attempts or sectarian alignment, based on a firm belief that community security is not only built by force, but by confidence and civil discipline.

Economically, the response came firm and early, through strict control over financial transfers and suspicious activities, and Gulf coordination to control supply chains and market stability, which maintained the balance of supply and demand, and strengthened the immunity of the national economy in front of external tremors.

This response has shown that economic flexibility, when it is based on strong institutions and effective control, contributes to protecting political legitimacy and enhancing citizen confidence.

In foreign policy, Bahrain adopted a conscious and conscious policy, which was based on calm support, and refused to get involved in polarization axes, while adhering to the refusal to use its lands for any hostile activity.

At the same time, the state played its humanitarian role towards its citizens, by organizing deliberate evacuation operations from danger areas, and activating digital channels to provide consular support and care, reflecting the image of the sponsoring state that is not absent from its citizens anywhere.

In the face of this integrated model, any questioning of the state’s readiness or ignoring the institutional measures achieved is a denial of a documented reality that has proven that Bahrain is not satisfied with the reactions, but rather initiates a solid sovereign methodology.

Documentation of this experience is a national duty, not a matter of luxury, but rather a matter of consolidating the institutional memory and improving the response to the upcoming crises.

Cornerstone

This experiment has demonstrated that the state’s strength is not only measured by its immediate procedures, but by the extent of its institutions, its flexibility in dealing with crises, and its consistency with the principles of justice, transparency and effectiveness. The capable state is the one that succeeds in securing protection, ensuring rights, and building confidence, without giving up or giving up its responsibilities.

Hence, documenting this experience is no longer an option but rather a national necessity, to preserve our institutional memory, and build on it towards a more stable and fair future, in which the state is in a permanent amount of readiness and responsibility.
