The Veterinary Medicine Directorate in Menoufia launched extensive inspection campaigns during the month of July 2025, which resulted in the seizure of more than 2 and a half tons of meat, poultry, frozen fish, and dug that is not suitable for human consumption, and the editing of 22 misdemeanors in various facts.
Menoufia Governor is directed to intensify control
This comes in implementation of the directives of Major General Ibrahim Abu Laimon, Governor of Menoufia, to intensify control campaigns on the markets and shops for selling and manufacturing meat and fish products, to control violators and tighten control over the offered goods in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens.
Menoufia Governor receives a report on veterinary campaigns
The Governor of Menoufia received a report from Major General Majid Fathi Abdel -Zahir, Director of the Veterinary Medicine Directorate, in which he explained that the campaigns were carried out in coordination with the heads of local units and a number of the concerned authorities, under the supervision of the Public Health and Purcents Department, during which large quantities of food products that did not conform to health and environmental requirements were seized, and the necessary legal measures were taken towards violators, and the Public Prosecution was notified of the investigation.
The Governor of Menoufia affirmed the continuation of strict inspection and control efforts on the markets, to control prices and ensure the validity of food commodities, in order to achieve the public good and preserve the health of citizens.
