Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Sisi Al -Buainain, Secretary -General of the House of Representatives, confirmed that the King Hamad International Center for Coexistence and Tolerance is considered a civilized and human beacon that reflects the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, in establishing the values of peace and tolerance, and presenting the Kingdom of Bahrain as a global model for cultural pluralism and coexistence between peoples.
He pointed out that the House of Representatives pays great attention to national institutional partnerships, and is keen to enhance cooperation with the bodies that contribute to supporting the Bahraini human identity, and consolidating the concepts of openness and civilizational understanding, through sustainable awareness and cultural initiatives, which integrate with the legislative and supervisory roles of the Council.
This came during the reception of the Secretary -General, in his office, to each of Abdullah Issa Al -Mannai, Executive Director of the King Hamad International Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, and Sheikha Maryam bint Hamoud Al Khalifa, a first media specialist at the center, where ways of joint cooperation were discussed, proposals to develop institutional communication channels, and the activation of qualitative programs that contribute to spreading the principles of coexistence and mutual respect at the local and international levels.
The Secretary -General stressed that cooperation with the center comes in the context of the General Secretariat’s interest in adopting projects that are in line with the national vision to enhance the culture of community peace, through the implementation of specialized training programs, and the organization of forums and workshops that contribute to spreading awareness of human values, as well as producing educational media content that highlights the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this field.
For his part, Abdullah Al -Mannai expressed the center’s pride in this constructive cooperation with the House of Representatives, noting that the support of the legislative institution enhances the position of the center as a representative of the authentic Bahraini approach in spreading a culture of dialogue and global understanding, stressing the center’s readiness to harness its experiences and programs in serving common goals.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of continuing joint coordination and forming specialized work teams was emphasized to develop an executive plan for future initiatives, which enhances institutional integration and contributes to achieving Bahrain’s message as the capital of coexistence and peace.
