Counselor Nayef explained that this decision comes within the framework of the attention that the Public Prosecution pays attention to the elderly and people with disabilities, and its continuous endeavor to develop its tools and means in work in an institutional framework that reflects its commitment to preserving the human dignity and caring for the categories due without distinguishing in line with the national efforts to enhance the principles of justice, indicating that the public prosecutor’s decision included the assignment of the service center of the Public Prosecution to raise the level of support and guidance To increase the benefit of this category of exceptional services prescribed to them, as well as instructions addressed by prosecution members and its employees to follow facilitated procedures in the investigation and pursuing conditions for the elderly and people with disabilities, whatever their legal centers, and from that transition to hear the statements of the elderly or with disabilities, or the use of technology means to complete this procedure from a distance, if it is not possible to appear or difficult for it For the cause of old age or disability.
And following a method of investigation is appropriate to these special circumstances.
In addition to working to complete the investigation with them or them as soon as possible, and to follow up their cases and the judgments they issue.
The decision also included the creation of an electronic record of registration of notifications related to issues that the elderly or people with disabilities are a party, in which all the measures taken in these cases are recorded, and the initiative to refer cases that require them to be covered by protection or care to the witness protection office and the victims or the social prosecution initiative “sponsorship” according to the conditions to take the necessary to them, while preparing periodic reports in cases observed to follow up on their affairs.
