Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and his companions, inspected the work of developing the axis of Mohamed Naguib and the expansion of the Alexandria Corniche, during his tour today in Alexandria Governorate.
For his part, Eng. Sherif El -Sherbiny stressed that Alexandria deserves to appear in the appropriate image in it, which reflects its position as a distinct tourism and historical interface, stressing that the development work is going according to an integrated plan that takes into account the preservation of the aesthetic character of the city and the major development projects that are held in the province.
The team, Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, the Governor of Alexandria, provided a detailed explanation about the work of developing and expanding the Corniche and the province’s efforts in promoting the visual identity of the city, including the unification of the colors of the beaches and sunbes gates, and the painting of lighting poles, in addition to the continued removal of all forms of random violations and manifestations that violate the civilizational appearance.
The Governor of Alexandria also explained that periodic quotations are published through the official pages of Alexandria Governorate on social media, with the aim of informing citizens of the developments of the expansion of the Corniche, and these attorneys include determining alternative paths to avoid crowding and ensuring the smoothness of traffic.
He added: There is continuous coordination and cooperation with the General Traffic Department to provide guidance panels in the work areas, in addition to enhancing the traffic presence to regulate the movement of vehicles and pedestrians, this comes within the framework of keenness to maintain the flow of traffic, especially with the high traffic densities during the summer.
Major General Mahmoud Nassar, head of the Central Development Agency, reviewed the elements of the Corniche expansion project, to become the total of the Corniche of 32.5 m, with 5 traffic lanes in each direction instead of 3 lanes, and the project also includes the creation of 17 gates to enter the beaches, equipped with toilets and places to shower for beach pioneers, as well Contrary to electricity work on the project path.
Major General Tariq Muwafi, head of the Northern Coast Reconstruction Authority, explained that the implementation of the “Mohamed Naguib” axis comes within the national plan to raise the efficiency and development of the road network, targeting the treatment and mitigation of traffic congestion in this vital area “Sidi Bishr” mosque with high population density, and this project seeks to improve the daily living conditions of citizens and maintain and advance the standard of living in a sustainable way.
