Recently, Egypt and Russia have signed a complementary protocol of the governmental agreement on cooperation in building and operating nuclear power plants and a complementary contract to establish and operate the Dabaa nuclear power plant in northern Egypt, which reflects the strategic partnership between the Egyptian and Russian sides that extend over decades.
This comes within the framework of cooperation between Egypt and Russia in the field of nuclear energy, and in light of the partnership and the work program and the time plan for the nuclear plant project in Dabaa, and the commitment to the stages of implementing the national project to generate electricity from nuclear energy, the signing ceremony of the protocol completing the agreement concluded between Cairo and Moscow on cooperation and operation of nuclear power plants in Egypt was made.
