The price of the US dollar against the Egyptian pound stabilized today, Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the beginning of transactions, within some government and private banks working in the banking sector, as the dollar in the Central Bank of Egypt recorded about 49.39 pounds for purchase, and 49.53 pounds for sale.

The price of the dollar in the National Bank of Egypt recorded about 49.41 for purchase, and 49.51 pounds for sale.
The price of the dollar in Banque Misr was 49.41 for purchase, and 49.51 pounds for sale.
The price of the dollar against the pound inside Faisal Islamic Bank reached 49.41 pounds for purchase, and 49.51 pounds for sale.
The price of the dollar was recorded against the pound inside the Islamic Bank of Islamic Bank 49.44 pounds for purchase, and 49.53 pounds for sale.
The price of the dollar against the pound within the National Bank of Kuwait reached 49.43 pounds for purchase, and 49.53 pounds for sale.
Central Bank decision for interest rate
The Central Bank announced the maintenance of the interest rate on deposit and lending for the second time during 2025, after 4 meetings, the interest was reduced in two of them and installation in two meetings.
The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank remained at its meeting last Thursday, July 10, 2025, the re -deposit and lending price for one night, and the price of the main operation of the Central Bank at 24.00%, 25.00% and 24.50%, respectively.
It also decided to fix the credit and deduction price by 100 basis points at 24.50%, in order to reflect the latest economic developments and expectations since the previous monetary policy committee meeting.
