Dr. Ahmed Al -Minshawi, President of Assiut University, witnessed discussions of the graduation projects of the second batch of the BIS Information Systems Program at the Faculty of Commerce, which was held on Sunday, July 6 in the discussion hall in the administrative building, in light of the university’s endeavor to graduate distinguished youth cadres capable of combining information technology and business management in line with the requirements of the local and international labor market.
45 projects implemented by 300 male and female students in the final group
Dr. Ahmed Al -Minshawi expressed his pride in the distinguished level of the projects presented this year, which numbered 45 projects implemented by 300 students in the final group, praising their ability to achieve the goals of the program in integrating accounting and management sciences with computers and programming, in a way that contributes to preparing qualified graduates for the era of digital transformation. He also wished students to succeed and reconcile in their recent step towards graduation and starting to practical life.
The activities of discussing projects continue for four days during the period from 5 to 8 July, and the discussions witnessed the presence of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mahmoud Abdel -Alim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The discussions came under the supervision and follow -up of Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Dr. Mohamed Adawi, Vice -Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Qaid, Academic Coordinator of the Program, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab, General Registrar of the program, and Dr. Ramadan Abdullah, Financial Officer of the program, along with a group of professors of computer and information colleges, engineering, and trade as a supervisor of projects Graduation.
The arbitration committees also included a number of specialized experts from the university and abroad, among them Dr. Abdul Rahman Haider, Professor at the Faculty of Computers and Information and Dean of the College of Artificial Intelligence at Badr University in Assiut, Dr. Khaled Fathi, Undersecretary of the College of Computers and Information for Education and Student Affairs, Eng. Ayman Ayyad, Director of the Information Technology Institute at Assiut University, along with representatives of the Institute of Information Technology, and a number of information Leaders of the leading technology companies in Upper Egypt.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel -Mawla stressed the importance of technological specializations in supporting the labor market, stressing the need for graduation projects to be characterized by innovation and the ability to implement, in line with the state’s directions and Egypt’s vision for sustainable development and higher education.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel -Alim praised his distinguished efforts from students during the implementation of projects, expressing his pride in the level of ideas presented, which embodies the university’s direction towards investing in human minds to achieve development goals.
Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez also explained that the BIS program is one of the most important study programs that comply with the state’s directions for digital transformation, as its graduates qualify to work in the design and programming of accounting and administrative applications, systems, databases, websites, and information networks, as well as electronic accounting.
While Dr. Mohamed Adawi indicated that the program is one of the most prominent programs that meet the needs of the contemporary labor market, confirming the full college support for student innovations and their research projects.
Dr. Mustafa Qaid pointed out that this year’s projects are distinguished by their diversity and quality, explaining that they serve multiple sectors within the university, such as education and students, libraries, graduate studies, and university hospitals, as well as projects in the sectors of trade, tourism, decoration, and others.
