The National Festival of the Egyptian Theater devoted a special symposium within the activities of its eighteenth session to celebrate the spirit of the late critics Ahmed Hashem and Youssef Muslim, introducing their great critical contributions to enriching the theatrical movement in Egypt.
The symposium was held in the presence of the artist Mohamed Riad, head of the festival, critic Safaa Al -Bili, who managed the meeting, with the participation of Dr. Ahmed Amer, and critic Mohsen Al -Mirghani, and in the presence of my critical family and a number of theatrical, critics and audiences, in an evening characterized by love and fulfillment.
A minute of mourning and the beginning of fulfillment
The critic and writer Safaa Al -Bili opened the symposium by inviting the attendees to stand a minute of mourning on the spirit of the late critics, confirming that Ahmed Hashem was Sinbad theatrical criticism, he walked all the regions of Egypt to transfer the pulse of the theatrical movement, while Youssef Muslim, despite his young age, was multi -talented, he combined poetry, acting, writing and criticism, and he had a prominent role in the theatrical movement.
Mohamed Riad: They are still among us with their creativity
In a human gesture, the artist Mohamed Riad, head of the festival, said during his speech: The sincere condolences of the families of the departed, and if they have left their bodies, they are still alive between us with their creativity and writings that influenced the theatrical scene, and left an impact that will remain in our hearts and in the theatrical memory.
Al -Bili: Youssef Muslim .. angry at life
Safaa Al -Bili talked about the details of her knowledge of the departed, and said about Ahmed Hashem that he was “a lover of the mass culture, a lover of artists in the regions, and he always saw underlying energies worthy of support and appreciation.
As for Youssef Muslim, she said: When I was asked to write about him, my article was entrusted with Yusuf Muslim .. angry at life, he was angry at the falsehood, and not from himself. A poet, critic, actor and a theatrical writer, who wrote about himself and predicted his early departure.
Ahmed Amer: Humility and accuracy are the most important of what I learned from Ahmed Hashem
Dr. Ahmed Amer participated in a influential testimony of his relationship with the critic Ahmed Hashem, saying: I got to know Ahmed Hashem in Upper Egypt during the arbitration committees, and I learned a lot from him, he was a calm, systematic, deep, deep, not speaking, but when he speaks, he affects the essence of the meaning. He was loyal to his professors, headed by Dr. Hassan Attia, and he was kind to the youth without come, weighs his words accurately and gives you his knowledge without reservation.
Mohsen Al -Mirghani: Youssef Muslim .. The poet of sincere anger
As for the critic Mohsen Al -Mirghani, he talked about Youssef Muslim, saying: Youssef Muslim was not angry at himself, but rather from the falsehood of the reality that was forced to do his trains. He entered the Institute of Performing Arts to understand and face. He was working and writing without interruption, because writing was his way to stay. His works reflect this noble anger. Use mockery, caricatures and laughter as experimental technical tools that reflect his vision of tragic reality.
He added: His texts reproduce his human and creative melody, and reveal a delicate sense and a conscious look of reality. Youssef Muslim was talented, serious, he writes from the depth of his suffering, and from his faith in art as a message.
Call from the heart: the launch of their names on cultural centers
At the end of the symposium, the widow of the critic Ahmed Hashem sent an impressive speech, in which she said: Ahmed Hashem, all of Egypt from Alexandria, went to Aswan, holding his cultural dream despite the hardship of travel. He believed in the youth of the theater in the regions, seeing in them real talents that might excel over those who are in the forefront, if they only have the opportunity. “
In her speech, she demanded: collecting his articles and writings in one author to be a reference for future generations, and that Youssef Muslim’s works also be preserved, and I also hope to launch their names on one of the cultural centers or theatrical halls, in commemoration of their sincere and sincere contributions.
