Capriece cheese entered from northern Spain, the Guinness Book of World Records, as the most expensive cheese sold at an auction, after selling a piece weighing 2.3 kg for 36,000 euros (about 42232 dollars) during an auction in the Astorias area.

According to foreign media, this type of luxurious cheese, which was produced at the Angel Diaz Herro factory, has been matured over a period of 10 months inside the Los Mazus cave at an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level, and participated in the 52nd session of the Sirman Del Caprue Dao Kabreles competition, one of the most prominent activities designated for cheese in Spain.
The Guinness Encyclopedia confirmed that this price is the highest in the history of public auctions to sell cheese, bypassing the previous record in 2019 (20,500 euros).
9 prominent bidders from all over the country competed at the auction, before businessman Ivan Suarez, the owner of a restaurant and commented on his victory by saying: It is a great honor to continue this wonderful tradition.
