Engineer Sherif El -Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, continued the results of inspection tours and reports on the executive position of housing units in the presidential initiative “housing for all Egyptians” in a number of new cities, which include thousands of housing units with limited and middle -income hub for citizens, within the framework of the Ministry of Housing’s plan to implement the state’s vision towards providing adequate housing.
During his follow -up to the work of the work in the housing units being implemented in the cities of the tenth of Ramadan and the new October, and Assiut and the new Qena, the Minister of Housing stressed the importance of continuing to follow the work in the field and paying and intensifying business in buildings, along with services and facilities projects in the units implementation sites, as well as the speed of overcoming any obstacles that may face implementation, to ensure the delivery of housing units to citizens according to the highest quality standards and at the time Defined to it.
In the same context, Eng. Alaa Abdellah Mustafa, head of the Tenth of Ramadan City Development Authority, and Engineer Ahmed Ismail, representative of the Technical Support Unit at the Ministry of Housing, and officials of the agency, made an inspection tour of a number of housing projects within the presidential initiative “Housing for all Egyptians” in the city.
The tour included inspecting the work of the implementation of the presidential initiative units in the Narges neighborhood – the fifth and sixth stages, where the fifth stage includes 298 buildings with a total of 7152 housing units, with an area of 90 meters per unit, whose implementation rate reached an advanced stage, and the sixth stage also includes 240 buildings with 5760 housing units in full facilities, in the same area.
Housing initiative for all Egyptians
During the tour, the importance of adhering to the technical specifications and construction standards specified for units, implementation according to the approved time schedules, and the speed of overcoming any field obstacles that the implementation companies may face.
In the same context, Eng. Mohamed Abdel -Maqsoud, head of the new October Development Authority, explained that the sixth stage of the presidential initiative “housing for all Egyptians” includes about 55 thousand housing units for low -income people, while the “Green Housing” initiative includes approximately 14 thousand housing units that are implemented according to sustainability and energy efficiency standards.
The head of the new October Authority pointed out that the western airport region includes approximately 104 thousand housing units and is being implemented, with a total investment exceeding 60 billion pounds in the housing sector only, in addition to implementing infrastructure projects and public facilities worth more than 20 billion pounds, which makes the new city of October one of the most prominent models of integrated urban development.
In this context, Eng. Mahmoud Murad, Vice -President of the New October City Authority, and the agency officials, made an inspection tour to follow up the workflow of the presidential initiative “housing for all Egyptians” in the city, in addition to inspecting the ongoing work in the units of the “Green Housing” project in the West Airport region.
The tour included an accurate follow -up of the construction stages of the foundations and concrete structure, in addition to inspecting the finishing works within some units, reviewing the external facades of the buildings, and coordinating colors and architectural details.
