Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital, to follow up the level of medical services provided at the Gustav Rossi Hospital – formerly Hermel – within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to ensure the provision of distinguished medical services that meet the needs of citizens.
The Minister of Health directs to enhance periodic coordination to provide medical supplies
During the meeting, the minister stressed the priority of providing a comfortable and supportive environment for patients and their companions, directed to facilitate medical and administrative procedures, and to establish a unit dedicated to receiving citizens’ complaints and measuring their satisfaction with the services provided, as he directed to enhance periodic coordination to ensure the availability of drug supplies, and to accelerate the issuance of treatment decisions at the expense of the state, where 12 thousand decisions were issued during the period from June 1 to July 18, 2025, in addition to activating the work of work Medical committees with health insurance to accelerate the issuance of insurance decisions.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the ministry’s spokesperson, pointed out that the minister was directed to form a work team to follow up the hospital development plans and improve the work environment, while submitting periodic reports to ensure the continuity of improvement in performance and immediate response to any challenges, and the minister also directed to increase the numbers of medical and administrative cadres trained at the highest level, and to expand the recruitment of French experts specialized to transfer experiences and train medical teams on the latest methods of treatment.
He affirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Health and Population to the continuous and strict follow -up to the performance of the Gustav Rossi Hospital, in cooperation with the private sector, to ensure the provision of high -quality medical services in a fair and equal way to all patients, while strengthening the partnership between the state and the Gustave Rossi Institute to achieve the best health results for citizens.
