The Minister of Education reviews the developments of the launch of the Egyptian German schools project

Mohamed Abdel -Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received the German ambassador in Cairo, Juergen Schultz, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the field of technical and technical education, as well as review the latest procedures and steps related to the launch of the Egyptian -German schools project.

The meeting was attended by the German side Felix Hala, Head of the Department of Culture and Education at the German Embassy in Cairo and Nafin Al -Suwaifi, Director of the Language Department for the Middle East and North Africa region, Dina Radwan, Director of the Department of Educational Cooperation, Maha Wesa, Director of Projects and an official at the Education and Culture Department of the German Embassy

On the part of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Hanim Ahmed, the Minister’s advisor for international cooperation and agreements, and Mona Ayoub, the minister’s advisor to the initiative of Egyptian German schools.

During the meeting, Minister Mohamed Abdel -Latif stressed the strategic importance of cooperation with the German side, and the Ministry of Education’s keenness to continue to enhance this fruitful cooperation to improve the quality of education in Egypt, especially in the field of technical education, which is one of the most important ways of sustainable development in Egypt.

The Minister expressed his aspiration to enhance cooperation with the German side through concrete steps to launch applied technology schools in cooperation with German partners regarding school curricula and practical training in order to enhance graduates opportunities in the local, German and international labor market as well.

Minister Mohamed Abdel -Latif also touched on the latest developments related to the project of Egyptian German schools, where the first school starting from the next academic year is scheduled to be launched, indicating that the ministry is keen to make all efforts to expand this model from schools to reach 100 schools.

For his part, the German ambassador valued the developments taking place in the Egyptian education system, stressing his country’s keenness to continue supporting cooperation with the Egyptian side in various fields related to pre -university education through the transfer of experiences, and the provision of specialized training programs for teachers, as well as continuing fruitful cooperation in the project of Egyptian German schools.

The meeting witnessed an agreement between the two sides to continue all procedures related to the launch of the Egyptian German schools project, which represents a symbol of historical relations between the two countries.
