The activities of the training program, organized by the Public Prosecution, were launched in cooperation with the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies under the title “Reconciliation in the Crime of Tax Evidence”, and aims to educate and raise awareness of the methods developed in managing and ending the criminal lawsuit, developing reform justice mechanisms and activating the legal role in achieving restorative justice between the parties to the criminal case according to procedures subject to judicial oversight.
The program deals with a practical and practical framework for building and developing legal capabilities for those concerned in the National Revenue, by providing specialized training content that combines legislative and procedural aspects, in a way that contributes to ensuring the effective application of modern criminal policy in managing and adjudicating the criminal case.
And participated in the first day of the program, Mr. Nasser Ibrahim Al -Shaib, head of the prosecution and concerned with the regulations of reconciliation, where he reviewed the development of penal policy in Bahraini legislation, which is based on finding reform alternatives to the negative penalties of freedom, and means that helps to speed up the dismissal of the criminal case, in line with international standards, and agrees with the vision of society and its needs.
He touched on the amendments made by the legislator to the Criminal Procedure Law, which allowed the parties to use the reconciliation methods with the controls and conditions indicated by the law, whether in terms of the legal scope of crimes in which reconciliation, reconciliation or assignment may be permissible, and the legal conditions for the implementation of the legal impact, while the system that the Bahraini legislator has taken regard to mediation on criminal matters and the scope of its application, legal rules and procedural provisions established in this regard, dealt with Revolutionary legislation, legal effects, and societal goals that are intended to achieve from this system.
The activities of the program continue during the coming period with lectures dealing with tax evasion crimes and reconciliation controls.
