The Israeli Army Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, acknowledged that the battle in the Gaza Strip is one of the most complex battles that the army has ever faced, and that it pays a heavy price in the fighting, but he promised to continue to work to achieve its goals.
Zamir said, “The campaign in Gaza is one of the most complex campaigns that the Israeli army has ever known, we have made great achievements, and the southern leadership continues to lead it with regular and reserve brigades that work daily in attack and defense, we pay a heavy price in the fighting, we will continue to work to achieve our goals to return the prisoners and the collapse of Hamas.”
Zamir’s speech came during the army’s meeting to conduct a “multi -scenic strategic evaluation led by the Chief of Staff, and with the participation of members of the General Staff Forum and the Operational Staff Forum.
The army pointed out that “the investigations into the war and the land maneuver in the Gaza Strip will begin to extract lessons.”
Zamir added: “We are working on several axes, we will continue to weaken and prevent strategic capabilities from Syria and Hezbollah, and to preserve the freedom of our work, we work in the West Bank, and we continue to combat terrorism continuously.”
He stressed that “the Israeli army must be ready to continue a massive and comprehensive campaign in light of a complex and difficult reality management that requires work in multiple fields.”
He explained that: “The Israeli army is required to work off off in several squares, in addition to the basic defense in the squares and on the border, we will continue to maintain air superiority and continue the intelligence effort.”
He stressed the importance of the Air Force, noting that Israel “will continue to maintain air superiority and the continuous intelligence effort.”
Tehran also vowed, “Iran and the axis in front of our eyes, the campaign against Iran has not ended yet.”
