Responsible sources at the Railways Authority revealed the fact that a decision was issued by the Ministry of Transport to withdraw the VIP train vehicles from the Aswan / Cairo line and vice versa, and transfer them to the lines of Lower Egypt, and replace them with second -class Russian air -conditioned vehicles, and raise ticket prices uniformly on the line.

The sources confirmed to Cairo 24 that this matter is completely naked, and that what is being circulated in this framework aims to cause confusion and clamor among citizens.
The sources added that there are 14 VIP trains with first and second air -conditioned vehicles working on the Cairo Aswan line and vice versa, including numbers train 980/981, 935/934, and they are formed from the first VIP vehicles air -conditioned and second.
It was raised about the establishment of a ministry Transfer by withdrawing VIP train vehicles from the Aswan/ Cairo and Aswan/ Alexandria line, transferring them to marine face lines, and replacing them with second -class air -conditioned Russian vehicles (less quality), as well as raising ticket prices to 550 pounds uniformly.
