Walid Abdin, a spokesman for Cairo and Giza for drinking water and sanitation, said that the company continues to push pure drinking water cars in the areas affected by interruption to meet the needs of citizens, under the full supervision of a specialized committee in the governorate.
Abdin indicated in exclusive statements to Cairo 24 that the Ministry of Electricity has made great efforts during the past days to provide a new electrical nutrition source for the station, stressing that these works aim to prevent the repetition of the crisis in the future.
He explained that the main reason for the crisis is the work of developing the source of the electrical nutrition for the Dahab Island water station, which feeds strategic and vital areas in the province.
He stressed that the leaders of electricity and drinking water are pursuing the latest developments in the ongoing work at the station, pointing out that the closest areas of the main water lines and the main pumping station have regained the service faster, while the parties to the networks and some remote areas are still delayed.
He pointed out that the drinking water is scheduled to return to the affected areas as soon as possible, as soon as the ongoing work at the electricity station feeding the service, pointing out that there are directives issued by the leaders of the drinking water company to stand on the work.
