The conclusion of the business quality conference in its tenth edition by issuing recommendations to enhance the quality of career and balance in the work environment

Last week, the activities of the tenth conference of job quality, which was held over a period of two days in the capital, Manama, concluded with a joint organization between the Origen Group and the Professional Life Quality Association, amid a high -level participation of experts, specialists and senior officials from the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and a number of Arab countries.

The activities of the first day were launched with an intensive applied workshop presented by Professor Fatima Al -Mansoori, who specializes in fitness and office yoga, where the participants interacted with motor and respiratory exercises that contribute to reducing stress and improving job performance.

Then the activities of the first day continued with the official opening session in the presence of His Excellency the Chairman of the Shura Council, Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al -Saleh Al -Muqtar, who included major words, specialized offers, and honoring a number of leading bodies. Today, he concluded with an interactive workshop that focused on the global health organization’s methodology in the reservations of measurement of happiness, and discussed the mechanisms of positive reinforcement in both work environments and daily life alike.

As for the second day, it revolves around the role of institutions in enhancing the quality of professional life by adopting the approved standards and policies, led by the international standard ISO 45003 on mental health in the work environment, in addition to other models that contribute to building more supporting and containing human element.

After that, a special session was carried out that brought together members of the Board of Directors of the Quality of Professional Life Association and all speakers in an open dialogue with all the participants.

In the closing session, the conference president, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al -Bena on a set of final recommendations in which the conference summarized, stressing the importance of activating the outputs of this exceptional version, and continuing institutional work in this direction. The recommendations came on two levels as follows:

Recommendations for institutions:

1. Incorporation of life quality standards into institutional strategies, and linking them to measure organizational performance.

2. Adopting flexible policies for work (such as hybrid work and smart vacations) to support functional balance.

3. Spreading a culture of psychological safety, and providing psychological and professional support programs for workers.

4. Developing a physical work environment to be more motivated, healthy, especially in lighting, ventilation, and green spaces.

5. Investing in training leaders on the concepts of “well -being”

As for the recommendations for individuals, they were:

1. Practicing self -care as part of the daily routine, through sports, nutrition and meditation.

2. Seek to achieve a balance between practical and private life, by managing time and reducing stress.

3. Request for support when needed, whether from colleagues or the relevant authorities within the institution.

4. Self -development continuously in line with modern work requirements.

5. Contribute to creating a positive environment.

In conclusion, Dr. Ahmed Al -Bena presented to His Excellency the Chairman of the Shura Council for his continuous presence and support, and thanked all the institutions participating in the conference and also thanked all supporters and exhibitors for this important conference.
