The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain organized a reception on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, in the presence of a number of officials, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In a speech during the ceremony, Colonel Wang Tao, the Chinese defensive attachment to the Kingdom of Bahrain, indicated the establishment of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army on August 1, 1927, and the army’s contributions over 98 years to the prosperity of the Chinese state, the promotion of national security, and the preservation of world peace.
Colonel Wang stressed that the bilateral relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom of Bahrain are witnessing continuous growth, especially after the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, to China in May 2024, which resulted in establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries that included various fields.
At the end of the ceremony, a documentary film that highlighted the march of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army was shown, and reviewed its most prominent achievements in the fields of national defense, peacekeeping operations, and international humanitarian aid.
