The activities of the “Amwaj Summer” program, which is organized by the Union of the Angel of the Amwaj Central Islands, started last Saturday, in a move aimed at strengthening social ties between the residents of the Amwaj Islands, as the program continues throughout July, and it takes place every Saturday, and includes a variety of cultural and recreational activities designed to meet the interests of all age groups.
This program comes as part of the Federation’s vision to enhance social interaction between the population, and to provide a vibrant environment and recreational activities, as the Union of Amwaj Islands Angel seeks to provide distinct recreational channels that contribute to enhancing the feeling of belonging between individuals and families, which reflects the importance of cooperation and communication in the local community.
On this occasion, His Excellency MP Ahmed Sabah Al -Salloum, President of the Union of Amwaj Islands Union, stressed the importance of the “Amwaj Summer” program, saying: “We are in the Union of the Angel of the Amwaj Islands, we believe in the importance of strengthening social ties between the inhabitants of the islands.
His Excellency added: “The provision of distinctive entertainment channels is part of our responsibility towards the inhabitants of the islands. We are seeking to provide activities that are appropriate to everyone’s interests, from children to adults, which contributes to creating a fun and enjoyable environment for everyone.”
The “Amwaj” program includes a group of various activities, including musical performances and sports competitions, as well as cultural events that reflect the local heritage, and special areas have been allocated to children, where they can enjoy activities that are appropriate for their ages, ensuring that the activities are comprehensive for all family members.
On the other hand, Al -Salloum stressed the importance of community participation in the success of this program, as he called on residents to engage in activities and contribute to its success, and Salloum said: “The more participation, the more vibrant and enjoyable events. We need to support the population and their contributions to achieve the desired goals of this program.”
