The ceasefire in Gaza
According to the report, Netanyahu is currently seeking to persuade the Minister of Finance and the head of the Religious Zionism Party to ask Smotic that any possible agreement will not keep Hamas armed or concentrated in the Gaza Strip, in an attempt to maintain the cohesion of the ruling coalition in light of the possibility of Bin Ghafir’s withdrawal.
Bin Jafir announced that his party withdrew from the government last January to protest the previous ceasefire agreement with Hamas, before returning to the coalition in March after the fighting resumed.
