A high -level bilateral meeting was held between Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Excellency Jean -Nawil Barrow, French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, today, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in Paris.
The two ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues. On this occasion, the two sides affirmed their joint commitment to respecting the international system based on fixed principles, promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the Middle East, in addition to their readiness to close coordination on regional and global crises. In this regard, the two sides expressed their aspiration for cooperation within the framework of the United Nations Security Council, after the Kingdom of Bahrain was elected as a non -permanent member from January 2026.
After the bilateral meeting, the two ministers inaugurated the fourth session of the Bahraini -French Supreme Committee, headed by Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Mr. Romarik Renian, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The meeting included a number of senior officials and representatives of the relevant government agencies from the Kingdom of Bahrain and France, and provided an opportunity to assess the progress made in bilateral cooperation in all fields.
The two parties stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of investments and trade in the strategic sectors, in a way that contributes to advancing sustainable economic development, as well as achieving the transformation in the field of energy. And they again confirmed their willingness to deepen and develop their cooperation in this field.
The two sides stressed the importance of cooperation in the fields of culture and education, and in this regard, in this regard, benefiting from French expertise in the Kingdom of Bahrain to support the long -term promotion of the French language.
The Kingdom of Bahrain and France stresses the importance of their continued partnership of mutual benefit. The two parties stressed the importance of encouraging more high -level visits and exchanges with the aim of enhancing the momentum of bilateral relations.
The Kingdom of Bahrain and France are looking to review the progress made in these areas during the next meeting of the Bahraini -French Higher Committee to be held in Bahrain in 2026.
