The Bahrain Chamber receives a commercial delegation from Hong Kong and is looking to enhance the prospects of economic cooperation

Atef Mohamed Al Khaja, CEO of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received a high -level commercial delegation from Hong Kong, in the context of strengthening economic relations and expanding areas of joint cooperation between the two sides.

In his speech during the meeting, Al -Khaja stressed the depth and durability of the growing economic and commercial relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Hong Kong, stressing the importance of pushing these relations towards broader horizons, based on the values and common principles that bring together the two countries, such as the freedom of markets, economic openness, and innovation.

He explained that the meeting constituted a qualitative platform to enhance communication between the business community in Bahrain and Hong Kong, and to explore new investment and commercial opportunities, especially in light of the attractive environment enjoyed by the Kingdom, and what Hong Kong provides ambitious economic initiatives, as well as renewed the Chamber’s commitment to support strategic partnerships that create added value and contribute to achieving sustainable development in line with Bahrain’s economic trends.

The meeting witnessed an active participation of a number of heads and members of the sectoral committees in the room, including the sectors of technology and digital economy, industry and energy, health services, logistics, tourism, in confirmation of the Chamber’s tendency towards openness to global markets and enhancing cooperation with international partners in multiple fields.

Al -Khaja expressed the Bahrain Chamber’s aspiration to continue to strengthen the bridges of cooperation with the Hong Kong business community, and work to develop joint initiatives and projects that serve the interests of both parties and open new horizons for investment and growth.

For his part, Simon Chan, General Manager of the Hong Kong Economic and Commercial Office in Dubai, presented a comprehensive presentation on the most prominent developments of the business environment in Hong Kong, and reviewed strategic initiatives and qualitative opportunities for Bahraini investors.

Chan pointed out that the Hong Kong economic and commercial office in Dubai is promoting the competitive advantages of Hong Kong, and pushing its economic and commercial interests in the Gulf region, by building effective partnerships and providing information and support for companies seeking expansion in the Asian market.
