Today, Wednesday, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the recent Israeli attack that targeted the capital, Damascus and the Suwayda Governorate, stressing that these attacks represent a “clear violation of the Charter of the United Nations and International Law.”
The ministry said in a statement that “the new Israeli aggression is added to a long series of violations targeting government institutions and civil establishments, in a systematic attempt to ignite tension and chaos and undermine security in Syria and the region.”
She added that “Syria condemns in the strongest terms this aggression, and Israel holds full responsibility for the current escalation,” noting that “these attacks come within a fixed policy followed by the Israeli entity with the aim of dragging the region to more escalation and creating a permanent environment for instability.”
The Syrian Foreign Ministry affirmed that “Damascus reserves the legitimate right to defend its land and its people by all means provided by international law, and in the timing and way it deems appropriate.”
Today, Wednesday, the Syrian capital, Damascus, and other cities, witnessed a violent Israeli bombardment targeting several sites, including government and civil facilities, according to what the Syrian authorities announced.
