The Internal Security Command in Aleppo Governorate arrested the former pilot, Imad Nafuri, while trying to extract forged papers in preparation for the country’s departure.
The security authorities explained that the arrest took place after its follow -up and monitoring, as it was around to view in one of the residential buildings in the city of Aleppo.
It is noteworthy that the aforementioned officer had previously held leadership positions in the Air Force, including the leadership of the 17th Brigade and the Air operations department, and his name was associated with a number of military operations that targeted different areas during the past years.
The competent authorities confirmed that the legal procedures will be completed and referred to the judiciary to consider the cases brought against it according to the applicable regulations.
