The Starlink system, the Speus X satellite system, affiliated to the billionaire technology, Elon Musk, suffered from a widespread interruption on Thursday that affected customers all over the world.
The network has currently recovered, as the interruption lasted about two and a half hours, according to Michael Nichols, Vice President of Starlink Engineering in Space X, in a post that Starlink later re -posted it on the social media platform (X).
“The interruption was due to a failure of major internal software services that occupy the basic network,” Nichols wrote.
He added: “We are strongly committed to providing a very reliable network, and we will determine the root cause of this problem completely and ensure that it is not repeated.”
Although this is not the first time that the regime has been disrupted, such interruptions are still relatively rare.
Starlink uses a network of thousands of satellites that revolve near the Earth, and is connected to small users stations on the ground to provide a high -speed internet.
The service is used by many airlines to provide the Internet during flights. It is also a vital communication tool for the Ukrainian army, as the infrastructure of traditional communications has been largely destroyed during Russia’s aggressive war.
