The Emirates Copy Rights Association announced the signing of the first university licensing agreement of its kind in the country with the University of Heriot Wat – Dubai, to establish a pioneering model in organizing the use of intellectual works within educational institutions. This signature comes as a fruit of an ambitious and effective path that the association has adopted since its foundation, as it was able, while establishing a firm international presence in the collective administration of the rights of the author, through six international agreements, and the membership of the International Federation of Copy Rights Organizations (Efro) received a “observer member” recipe in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which reflects the confidence of international institutions in its efficiency.
