The Human Resources Department in Sharjah organized a training program to teach “sign language” at two levels, targeting government employees in the front classes and workers in the field of customer service, in cooperation with the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, in the context of its efforts to enhance the skills of government cadres, and to improve the quality of the services provided. The program is held at the headquarters of the Regional Center for Educational Planning “UNESCO”, and seeks to enable employees to learn and publish the basics and rules of sign language in government agencies, to facilitate communication with people with hearing disabilities, in a manner that ensures the provision of an integrated service environment that takes into account the needs of all groups.
