The CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority, Sarah Bouhaji, confirmed in a statement to «Al -Watan» that the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025 was a strategic opportunity to expand Bahraini tourism presence in Russian markets and enhance bilateral relations in the tourism sector. She described the forum as an “excellent platform” for the participation of the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the effective presence by representatives of the Kingdom as well as a prominent participation of the private sector, which contributed to promoting the tourism ingredients that Bahrain enjoyed in front of decision makers, investors and those interested in tourism from Russia and other countries.
Bouhaji explained that the authority’s participation in the official Bahrain mission reflected its commitment to expanding the channels of international cooperation and exploring new tourism markets, noting that the Russian market is one of the promising markets that receive increasing attention within the national strategy for tourism. It concluded by emphasizing the importance of these external partnerships in promoting Bahrain’s position on the international tourism map, and opening broader horizons for tourism cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Russia.
