Data for the Internet Information Center in China (CNNIC) showed that the number of Internet users in the country amounted to 1.123 billion users, at the end of June, bringing the Internet spread rate of 79.7% of the total population of 1.411 billion people.
The report, which was published on Monday, stated that there is stable growth in relation to the use of the Internet, explaining that the number of Internet users between the ages of 60 years and over reached 161 million with a rate of 52%.
The number of Internet users in rural areas reached 322 million, to become the popularity of the Internet in rural areas 69.2%, an increase of 1.9%.
For the first time, China has exceeded the threshold of a billion online user, in light of the increasing use of smartphones, services and infrastructure.
The report pointed out that the total number of the fifth generation stations in China amounted to 4.55 million stations.
The report stated that the Chinese -born artificial intelligence products witnessed progress, as 346 services were provided to the National Internet Information Office, while the percentage of users of artificial intelligence products reached 80.9%, from the total Internet users.
The report pointed out that the volume of artificial intelligence industry in China exceeded 700 billion yuan (about 97.5 billion dollars) in 2024, and maintained a growth rate of more than 20% for consecutive years.
