Major General Khaled Shuaib, Governor of Matrouh, announced that the governorate continues to enhance its position as a distinguished tourist destination on the map of global tourism, because of its picturesque beaches, soft white sands, and unique natural and heritage sites.
Receiving 271 Carter flights and promising tourist recovery during the summer of 2025
The governor explained that in light of the noticeable tourist recovery witnessed in Matrouh, 271 Carter flights have been received since the beginning of the summer season of 2025 until now, with 140 flights at Marsa Matrouh International Airport, and 131 flights at Al -Alamein International Airport, with the continued increasing rates of tourism flow from different nationalities.
He emphasized that Matrouh is witnessing a promising summer season that reflects its advanced position on the map of the beach tourist destinations, with the support of the running flights to the airfares to the airports of Marsa Matrouh and Al -Alam, within the framework of the efforts of the state and the ministries of tourism, antiquities and civil aviation to stimulate international tourism and enhance the movement of expatriate travel to the northwestern coast.
The Governor of Matrouh pointed out that the General Administration of Tourism in the governorate is receiving tourists with great hospitality, through the distribution of roses and promotional brochures in several languages, in addition to tourist “postal” cards that highlight the most important features, beaches and sites of Matrouh heritage.
For his part, Professor Mohamed Anwar, Director General of Tourism and Al -Mousaiah in Matrouh Governorate, explained that this season flights this season carry tourists of multiple European and Arab nationalities, including: Italy, Slovakia, Czech, Serbia, Poland, Bulgaria, Moldova, Turkey, Belarus, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Armenia.
He stressed that these indicators reflect the growth of the confidence of the foreign markets in the tourist destination of Matrouh, in light of its natural and cultural attractions, pointing to the continued coordination with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, and the General Authority to stimulate tourism, to support the charter aviation system and expand the base of tourism markets, in a way that enhances the movement of international tourism and establishes a successful season that reaches its peak during the period during the period Next.
