The Ministry of Health and Population announced the provision of psychological support, to 146 individuals from the families of the victims and injured in the regional road accident in Menoufia Governorate, including 3 people who are still receiving the necessary medical care in hospitals.
This comes in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Minister of Health and Population, to provide all medical services to alleviate the stress of psychological harm to the families of the victims and the injured.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that two teams of psychological support teams were assigned, each team included two doctors and psychologists, to provide psychological and moral support in a way that contributes to alleviating the psychological effects resulting from this painful accident.
In turn, Dr. Peter Wajih, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for therapeutic Affairs and supervisor of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, indicated that the two teams in charge of providing psychological support to the families of the victims of the accident and the injured were chosen from the medical teams at Banha and Shebin Al -Kom Hospital for mental illness and addiction treatment, while providing all necessary support to the two teams.
For her part, Dr. Wissam Aboul Fotouh, head of the Central Administration of the General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, said that some recipients of psychological support sessions from the injured and their families required their condition to use drug therapy with the sessions, stressing that the teams charged with follow -up and psychological support were trained and qualified at the highest level to provide the best service.
