The Bahrain Institute for Political Development concluded today, Tuesday, the first phase of the “Future bet” program, which comes within the efforts of the Institute aimed at empowering Bahraini youth and qualifying them for conscious participation in the national affairs, within the framework of the royal high vision that confirms that young people are a basic pillar in the development process.
The first stage of the program extended over three weeks, as eight training courses and workshops aimed at developing leadership and communicative skills for the participants, and enhancing their awareness of political and parliamentary work.
The third week of the program witnessed the organization of two training sessions; The first came under the title “Skills of Dialogue and the Acceptance of the Other Opinion”, presented by Dr. Manal Al -Matrouk, and dealt with the importance of purposeful dialogue and strategies of positive interaction, analysis of verbal and non -verbal messages, along with the arts of negotiation and appreciation of diversity in opinions and situations, and how to ask questions and opinions in a distinctive style.
As for the second session, it was titled “Display and Presentation Skills”, and the media presented by Iman Marhoun for two days, and focused on the skills of influencing, and the manufacture of positive content, dealing with the camera, in addition to developing self -confidence and enhancing effective communication in front of the public.
The first stage of the program also included a number of qualitative training activities, including: “Building Youth Leadership” course, a “state of institutions and law” workshop, the “decision technology: artificial intelligence in serving the country”, the “creative thinking skills” course, along with the “Economic Vision 2030 and Comprehensive Development” workshop, and the “National Liability” workshop.
The program aims to prepare a youthful generation that possesses efficiency and awareness of active participation in political life, by providing them with knowledge and tools that qualify them for constructive interaction with state institutions and decision makers.
This stage is scheduled to follow a series of subsequent stages, including field visits and parliamentary simulation experiences, which contributes to enhancing the readiness of the participants to play future leadership roles within the framework of national and legislative work.
