Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, said that the government has taken many decisions since last year to ensure the stability of the pharmaceutical market in Egypt, and the return of all medicines without prejudice to the needs of citizens.
The Prime Minister said, in a press conference, that: Pharmaceutical companies are constantly required to raise the prices of medicines, including increasing insulin prices, but as a government we have a vision of the importance of stability and stability of the drug market.
The Prime Minister indicated that the government has taken strong measures during the past year after the lack of medicines, and a large number of medicines were moved to ensure that companies work and not suffering losses.
Enhancing economic relations and alleviating debt burden
During the conference, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, stated that the operation of the Dabaa nuclear plant will add the equivalent of 42% of the current Egyptian energy production in the form of clean energy, which represents a qualitative leap in the field of renewable energy in Egypt.
Dr. Madbouly pointed to Egypt’s endeavor to enhance economic relations with Germany, in addition to its goal to drop parts of foreign debt through debt exchange programs. These steps come within the framework of a broader strategy to improve the country’s economic situation.
Reducing food commodity prices and increasing foreign investment
The Prime Minister explained that the main targets of the government in the coming period include increasing foreign direct investment, strengthening exports, and developing economic relations. He also stressed the existence of clear government directives to reduce the prices of basic and food commodities for citizens, in order to ensure the citizen’s sense of economic reform efforts.
Madbouly stated that the decrease in the price of the dollar during the last period provides a real opportunity for the low prices of the main and food commodities, which will contribute to alleviating the burdens of living for citizens.
