Engineer Mamdouh Raslan, President of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sewerage, approved a package of decisions after his meeting with a delegation from the General Union of Public Utilities, headed by Counselor Hisham Fouad, First Vice President of the International Services Federation, and in the presence of Reda Al -Deghaidi, Secretary of the General Syndicate and a member of the company’s board of directors.
5 new decisions to improve the conditions of employees and workers of water and sanitation companies
According to a statement issued by the General Syndicate of Public Facilities Workers, the meeting came to discuss a number of important issues related to improving the conditions of workers, in light of the directives issued by the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El -Sherbiny, who stressed that the demands of workers come at the forefront of our priorities, believing in their vital role in achieving the Ministry’s goals and the state’s vision for sustainable development.
Among the decisions that were approved during today’s meeting:
1- Applying the minimum wage at 7000 pounds for the sixth degree, with a difference of 200 pounds for each higher job degree, to become:
- Fifth degree: 7200 pounds
- Fourth degree: 7400 pounds
- Third degree: 7600 pounds
- Second degree: 7800 pounds
- First degree: 8000 pounds
2- Granting a periodic allowance of 10% of the basic wage on June 30, 2025, added to the basic wage.
3- Paying 5% of a grant as of July 1, 2025.
4- Agreeing to observe the differences in job grades and seniority when implementing decisions.
5- A meeting was held during the month of August to discuss the file of the end of service reward for the workers referred to the pension, which is one of the basic demands submitted by the General Syndicate.
