The Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, received today, Thursday, with the sheikh of Al -Azhar, Tariq Ali Faraj Al -Ansari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Cairo, where he expressed the pride of Al -Azhar with his good relations with the State of Qatar, recalling his multiple visits to it and its scientific activity in it, praising the authentic Arab character of the Qatari people.
The Sheikh of Al -Azhar also dealt with the aggression on Gaza, explaining that the root of the crisis lies in the continuation of the Zionist occupation, stressing that the real peace will only be achieved by the Palestinian people to obtain their rights to establish an independent state with its capital, Al -Quds Al -Sharif.
He warned of the dangers of division and division in the Islamic world, citing the Almighty saying: {And do not dispute, and shivering and glowing your wind}, stressing that unjust practices such as colonizing the earth, killing innocent people and advocating the occupier hinder the efforts of global dialogue and requires a radical review.
For his part, the Qatari ambassador expressed his happiness at meeting the Grand Imam, conveying his official and popular country to the pivotal role played by the Sheikh of Al -Azhar in serving Islam and defending the nation’s issues, stressing that the Arab and Islamic world is aware of his prestigious scientific and spiritual virtue and his firm stances, praising his great role in spreading the values of brotherhood and promoting dialogue between religions.
