The Bahraini Federation for Blys and Darties Games will host the World Snooker Championship during the period from 13-24 July, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Manama.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahraini Blyyard and Darties Games, Munther Al -Basri, thanked his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his sponsorship of the championship that includes five competitions: the World U -21 World Championship for Boys, the World U -17 Championship for Boys, in addition to two competitions for men.

Al -Basri noted the efforts of the members of the Federation’s Board of Directors to create the appropriate atmosphere to the players and players of Bahrain teams to represent the Kingdom in this global gathering, confirming that the solidarity of the official authorities enhances the position of Bahrain at the level of hosting major sports events, looking to repeat the achievement of the world champion Habib Sabah on the land of Bahrain.
Al -Basri praised the efforts of the Ministry of Information Affairs, appreciating the great role played by the Bahrain Sports Channel in supporting local clubs and federations during its hosting of external sporting events, stressing that highlighting the sports channel for the efforts of the people of the Kingdom in such major occasions stimulates the youth of Bahrain to make more efforts to honor the Kingdom.
