French star Killian Mbappe, Real Madrid striker, decided to back down from the judicial measures he had started against his former club Paris Saint -Germain, on accusations related to psychological harassment and an attempt to blackmail him to force him to sign, days before the expected confrontation between the two teams in the Club World Cup semi -finals.
Withdraw the complaint before the summit
According to the French newspaper “L’Equipe”, Mbappe’s lawyer withdrew, on Monday, the complaint submitted on May 16, according to which the Public Prosecution had opened an official investigation on June 24, and referred the file to two specialized judges.
The newspaper emphasized that Mbappe and his surroundings took this step with the aim of calming the legal atmosphere and focusing on the upcoming confrontation against Paris Saint -Germain, while maintaining the labor lawsuit calling for the French club to pay dues estimated at about 55 million euros, including salaries and rewards that are not paid from the recent period of the player inside the club.
A relationship of improvement
Sources indicated that the relationship between Mbappe and the President of Paris Saint -Germain Nasser Al -Khulaifi has witnessed a recent improvement, despite her long tension. This was clearly evident in Al -Khulaifi’s statements on June 10, when he said: “We were lucky this year without him, but I wish him the best in Real Madrid with all my heart.”
Awaited confrontation in New Jersey
Real Madrid will meet Paris Saint -Germain next Wednesday in the Club World Cup semi -finals, to be held in New Jersey in the United States, amid expectations that direct communication between Mbappe and Al -Khalifi, whether before or after the match, where L’Equipe said: “It is expected that one of them will not ignore the other.”
