Al -Malab newspaper – Portuguese press reports revealed that the English club Liverpool “will pay the remaining Dugo Gotta contract for his family” after his tragic death at the age of 28.
The Portuguese newspaper “Record” reported that Liverpool will pay the remaining amount in Gotta’s contract, after his death and his brother Andre in the early hours of Thursday morning after a car accident in Spain.
Gotta, the Portuguese international, had two years remaining in his contract with Liverpool, which he signed in 2022.
Jota died just two weeks after his marriage to his girlfriend from a young age, Kardoso, and he has three children.
Jota joined Liverpool from Wolverhampton in 2020, participated in 182 games with the team, scoring 65 goals and playing 26 decisive passes.
Gota won the Premier League with Liverpool last season, and previously won the FA Cup and the League Cup twice.
Gota’s condolences have been flowing from everyone in the world of football since the news was announced.
Liverpool players gathered in the small Portuguese town of Gondumar on Saturday, to attend the funeral of their teammate, as the captain of the team, Virgil van Dyck, goalkeeper Kevin Keeleer and coach Arney Sloout, was among his former and current teammates who arrived to offer condolences.
